About me

Russell Clark

Photographer / Artist

Hi, my name is Russell Clark. I live in Doncaster with my cat, Jess, and I am engaged to Karen, whom I first met over thirty years ago. We both met by chance, again, in 2015 when I was the photographer at an event and we have been together ever since. Karen also works with me on shoots and is an integral part of our service, with her warm smile and friendly personality. We work out of our large studio (Studio97) in Doncaster.

I've served in the Royal Navy, RAF, been a Police Officer and a Prison Officer, taking early retirement in 2016 at the age of 55 to persue my hobby of photography, which I started in 2013 as the result of a change in night school classes at the last minute.

Over the years and many different type of shoots, training courses and studies, I have honed in on my passon - portraiture. I have developed my style that you see in my portfolio. I like to think of it as Artistic Portraiture - using the camera and lighting to capture the images and then using software to edit the images, to achieve a painterly/artistic look. I believe that everyone should have at least one artistic print, showing who they really are, on their wall.

My hobbies include natural bodybuilding. I won my first competition in 1988 and I have continuing to compete to the present day. In 2019 I competed in the European and British Championships, placing 4th. Karen, also, competes in the Toned Figure Class and also placed 4th at the British Championships.

So if you are looking for timeless portraiture that is unique and individual, feel free to contact me. Both Karen and I would love to meet you.
